ABOUT

In the creative process and in each new project that I starts off, I seek a reflection of life.

I’m an industrial designer, a graduate of the Massana School in Barcelona
where I studied from 1994 to 1998.
From 1998 to 1999, for a full year, I extended my studies on industrial design
carrying out more in-depth studies on furniture and ceramics in Arts School of Bergen,
Kungsthogskolen, in Norway.

In 1998 I received the award of “Best Original Design” in the Contest of Toy design organized by Fundació Miró.
During my studies in the Design School of Massana, I participated in exhibitions such as the “Ceramic Network Limoges 1996” with prototypes and ergonomic studies for cutlery.
It is remarkable a Special Mention Award by the Massana school I got for the project “Sojatilles” designed for Camper, the globally marketed footwear company with headquarters in Mallorca, Spain
    
Later in 1999, I joined  the project to design a “Prao”, sailboat similar to a catamaran .

The design team won the Special Jury Prize for this work by ADI-FAD, the Association of Industrial Design for the Promotion of Arts and Design. I also won an award from ADI-FAD for my project “taceta coladora” a design that I presented as an individual and personal project in the same year.

On my return from Norway I started my professional career in Valencia, my hometown, collaborating with design studios until 2001, when I co-founded the design studio Perezroy. With design projects of living room furniture, bedroom furniture, children's furniture, upholstery, bathroom basins and accessories, lighting and decorative objects for national companies such as Grupo Puchades, Tajoma, Franjues, Promoble, Indufex, Ona, Ilumed or Ipalacio.

In 2010 I co-founded Alum Design Works, another design business project focused on the lighting and decoration industry, exploring 3d modelling, photorealistic rendering of spaces and other industrial sectors such as travel luggage, working for national companies such as Almerich Iluminación, Diseño 6, Savoy House, Banydea or Ecohouse, Estudio 80 and Gabol.
 

While working in Alum Design Works, I collaborated with studios such as TRIA Design in the fields of Toys, Lighting and Furniture design.

Amongst the projects, it is remarkable the lighting design work with the designer and professor of Massana School, Joan Sunyol i Gurnés, created under the product brand name of DUAL. I also delivered design classes jointly with Joan Sunyol I Gurnés to studends from the Superior Ceramics School of Alcora - SCAL (Castellon, Spain), a course oriented to design students produced under a working group named as TREBINELLA.

During my time in ALUM Design Works, I created a series of small decorative objects.

From 2016, I worked for Jordi Dedéu, doing 3D modelling works and renders for his upholstery designs. I also worked for the study of Enrique Martí & Asociados creating designs for customer projects comprising chairs, tables, upholstery, etc. 

In 2019 I was doing lighting projects for the brand ILEXPA and office projects for the company Orsal in Valencia. Together with perezforteastudio I have designed office furniture for the Chinese brand Yavon and upholstery for Pau La Torre in Valencia.

In 2020 and 2021 I have continued working with perezforteastudio in bedroom furniture for brands such as Mengshen in China, office furniture for brands such as Talent in China and living room furniture for national companies such as Monrabal Chirivella in Valencia. And I have collaborated with Boceto, a furniture and interior design shop to which I have been providing the modelling of refurbished and furnished spaces for their clients as well as the photorealistic rendering of these spaces.

I’ve been always driven and inspired by the search of beauty and depth of meaning.

In the creative process and in each new project that I starts off, I seek a reflection of life in the design endeavours, with a constant choice of alternative paths, the passion for the work I do, teaming and enjoying together with the ones I work with, and the environment around, in an endless search for consistency, creativity, innovation, quality and creative designs.
